3. Turkic World and Onomastics Special Standards
Our journal mandates the following rules, considering technical sensitivities in Turkic world studies:
-
Terminology and Classification: Terms used in research must conform to international onomastic standards.
-
Transcription: Scientific transcription marks must be used completely for names transferred from Turkic dialects or historical texts (Old Turkic, Uyghur, Ottoman Turkish, etc.). Unicode fonts must be preferred for proper character display. If a custom font is used, the font file must be uploaded to the system.
-
Etymological Analysis: In name analyses, root, stem, and affix separations must be visually clear (e.g., Kızıl + yar > Kızılyar), and the morphological structure must be supported by comparative dictionaries of the Turkic world.
4. Section Structure (IMRAD Standard)
Articles should follow this systematic order:
-
Introduction: Problem statement, aim, and significance of the study.
-
Literature Review: Existing studies on the subject and the study's original value.
-
Methods: Research model, data collection tools, classifications, and analysis techniques.
-
Results: Presentation of the obtained data (supported by tables, maps, and graphics).
-
Discussion and Conclusion: Comparison of findings with literature and suggestions for future studies.
5. Ethical Principles and Similarity Rate
-
Similarity Check: All articles must be submitted with an iThenticate or Turnitin report. The overall similarity rate must not exceed 15%, and similarity to a single source must not exceed 2%.
-
Ethics Committee Approval: An "Ethics Committee Approval Document" is mandatory for studies involving field research such as surveys, interviews, or observations. Document details (date and number) must be stated within the article.
6. Citation and Reference Format
-
Our journal applies the APA 7.0 format.
-
Archival Sources: Archival documents frequently used in Turkic world research (Vakfiyes, Tahrir Registers, etc.) should appear with abbreviations in the text (BOA, TD 435) and with full bibliographic details in the reference list.
-
DOI Number: If available, DOI numbers of the articles must be included in the reference list.
