About Adbilim
Aims and Scope
Adbilim is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to bring together qualified and original scientific studies in the field of onomastics. Our journal features interdisciplinary research, review, and critique articles on all sub-branches of onomastics, such as anthroponymy (personal names), toponymy (place names), heortonymy (festival and holiday names), and ergonymy (commercial names) in different cultures, with a particular focus on the naming traditions in the Turkic world and communities.
Publication Frequency
Adbilim Journal is published twice a year, in June and December.
Language Policy
Adbilim accepts original research articles in Turkish and English.
Peer Review Process
To maintain the highest level of academic impartiality and scientific quality, all articles submitted to Adbilim are subjected to a double-blind peer review process. The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept completely confidential throughout all stages of the process.
Open Access and Fee Policy
Believing that scientific knowledge should be freely shared on a global scale, our journal has adopted an open access policy. All published articles are instantly and freely accessible without any subscription or paywall. No fees are charged to authors at any stage of the article submission, review, or publication process.
